We began our adventure in the Boer Meat Goat business with the desire to offer quality breed Replacement Seed stock and Fresh, Natural Goat Meat in South Carolina. Our location makes it convenient for folks that are traveling from Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama and Virginia in search of quality goat meat and herd stock. We are statistically located just off of the I-85 corridor between Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Our current herd sire, MICK Looy Boy, is a grandson of T4 Ozzie ennobled from Texas. We purchased this great Boer Buck goat from central South Carolina and he has produced some great, meaty kids!
Our up and coming herd sire is out of North Carolina and sponsors eight ennobled blood lines including Powell/Holman 48K and 2 SIS Favorite Trick. Check out Vale Gordie''s Classic pedigree – he is triple registered and we expect to see some “Classic” kids this fall!
When their time arrives, we will introduce Billy’s Famous Amos and Billy’s Comet – two grandsons of RRD Ruger that were born on our farm from Fern Hollow Sugar Mama, a doe we purchased out of Georgia. She blessed us with triplets; Billy’s Amazing Grace is the third musketeer! Amos is an awesome, sturdy little paint buck and his brother, Comet, is a traditional Boer power house in the making!
Our son and the name sake of our farm, Billy, is active in the Oconee County 4-H Wether Meat Goat Project (mom is the club leader), and several of our goats will be joining the South Carolina 4-H / FFA Meat Goat Wether Project in June of 2008. Visit our Oconee County 4-H Meat Goat Club page for pictures and details.
